El Pueblo Mágico de Coatepec, caracterizado por su producción de café, está saliendo de Xalapa, Veracruz, a 3 horas y media de la Ciudad de México. Sus calles son empedradas, tiene excelentes restaurantes y es una opción ideal para quien busca descanso. Y fue ahí, en un salón del Club de Leones, donde El Testigo 777 me invitó a una cosa tan extraña que hizo que me lanzara el viernes pasado: una reunión de la escena local de hiphoperos. Inimaginable.
El Testigo forma parte de un crew llamado Xalapa'l subterráneo, raperos que completan los cuatro elementos del movimiento: junto con los graffiteros, los DJ's y los B-Boys están tomando fuerza del lado del Suroeste. Y a la par de otros grupos (Pueblos Trágicos, del mismo Coatepec, o Guacamole, una curiosa mezcla de Jazz con Rap) están haciendo material realmente bueno.
La banda que asistió echaba chelas y tequila: jóvenes de menos de 25 años, en su mayoría hombres que se movían al ritmo del heeey hooo. Testigo me platicaba que es difícil moverse en esos lugares, pues aunque hay mucho interés es una zona económicamente difícil: muy pocos chavos tienen el poder de pagar 100 pesos para ver grupos locales y además, pagar unos tragos. "Van muchos más cuando es es explanadas" me explica "Pero definitivamente todos los que estamos en esto no podemos vivir de tan pocos eventos, hay que buscar espacios, hablar con el municipio, hacernos de un hueco".

Pero definitivamente le saben. Platicaba con Entorno, uno de los que estaban metidos en la organización y me dio una cátedra de la escena local y una clase de historia rapera. No son improvisados.
Cuando el lugar estuvo preparado, Testigo fue el primero en subir: aquí, al contrario de otros lugares, echan a los fuertes al principio para que la banda no se vaya. "Imagínate: tienes a los chavos esperando y echas a los novatos primero, pues no. Pero la organización de eventos es mala, no hay flyers, no hay pósters, todo se va moviendo por las redes sociales".
Sube al escenario y echa rimas. La letra habla de superación y de respeto. Sigue Entorno y echa tres rolas. Después sube un joven de no más de 18 años a tirar sus ideas acompañado simplemente de un beatboxer: nada malo, nunca se trabó, muy en su papel. Cerró el crew de Xalapa'l. Excelente.
